Artist's Comments

Well, here it is, folks! A lavishly-painted tribute to the movie 'Bram Stoker's Dracula', depicting the scene that has left an indelible impression on my mind since I first saw it 10 years ago. From the time I did a black-and-white version of this scene (see this [link]), I've been dying to do a full-colour version of it. And it is intended to be a part of my MFA application portfolio.

Medium: gouache on paper.

This is the design they used for the wereolf in the movie 'Bram Stoker's Dracula', starring Gary Oldman.

Get a hold of it. It's one of the best movies I've seen, directed by Francis Ford Coppola.

Great job! You got his face perfectly! I loved that movie... but my fave vision from the movie was when Mina, Vlad/Dracula, and the wolf were near the cinema. :)

Yes, that is a very tense scene, too. But the scene that haunted me the most when I first saw it (I was 14, I think) was Dracula ravishing Lucy in the guise of a werewolf. I've painted that scene also.

I meant to say that "I've painted that scene also in B/W". :P
